Kinni Valley Riding Stables began in 1963 with thirteen horses. We have a very nice place to ride here and I often thought, when bringing in my cows each morning, that other people might enjoy seeing what I saw from the back of a horse every day. There's about a mile of the Kinnickinnic River that runs through our property here in Western Wisconsin.

The riding trail goes along it's banks and actually crosses the river right down through the water a number of times. The trail takes about an hour to ride and is generally flat and open, but heavily timbered toward the end and between the two river crossings. It's not uncommon to see deer, geese, ducks, eagles and an occasional fox. There's coyotes out there too, but I've never seen one. There's also lots of wily trout in the river. The horses are picked to match the ability of each rider and the ride is guided by competent, experienced, courteous guides.

We have an age limit of six yrs. old and there can be no double rides. We specialize in rides for Scout groups, church groups, 4H and school groups. A "mini-course" can be added for a small additional fee and consists of the points needed for Scout badge work and to make the kids more familiar and confident while riding.

This adds about an additional 45 minutes. Protective helmets are available. Our season goes from about mid-March to mid-November and it all depends on the weather. The scenery is very beautiful here just about any time of the year and I'm sure you'll enjoy a trail ride here in the Kinnickinnic River Valley. So give us a call and we'll be happy to set up a ride for your group, friends or family here at Kinni Valley Stables.
